National Mathematics Day – 2025
In commemoration of the birth anniversary of Sri Srinivasa Ramanujan, National Mathematics Day–2025 was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 22.12.2025 at the Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute University, Off-Campus, Arni, organized by the Science Club.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Chairman of ACS Educational Group, Thiru A. C. S. Arunkumar, and in the presence of the Dean, Dr. B. Stalin. The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. C. Ramki, Science Club Coordinator.
The programme was presided over by Dr. V. Peruvazhuthi, Joint Registrar, who delivered the presidential address, highlighting the mathematical contributions of Sri Ramanujan and emphasizing the importance of mathematics in the growth of modern science and technology.
Dr. R. Latha, Science Club In-charge, formally introduced the Chief Guest, Dr. B. Rushi Kumar, Professor and Assistant Director (Ranking and Accreditation), VIT, Vellore. In his special address, Dr. B. Rushi Kumar motivated students to develop a strong interest in mathematics and explained its vital role in academic excellence and professional success.
The programme witnessed the gracious presence of Deputy Deans, Joint Registrars, Principal of Physiotherapy, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and students from all departments, who actively participated and made the event a grand success.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. T. M. Kumaran, Assistant Professor, marking the successful completion of the celebration.
Coding Club, in association with the Department of Engineering and Technology and Humanities and Sciences, organized a Coding Contest for its members today.
29 members actively participated in the contest, which was evaluated by Dr. R. Venkatarathinam, Vice Principal & HOD (IT), Sri Balaji Chokalingam Engineering College.
